Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk notes that Europe should work together to find ways to solve the political crisis in connection with the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.
He said this after a meeting with European Parliament President Martin Schulz in Brussels on Wednesday.
"This is not only a conflict between Ukraine and Russia. This is a crisis in Europe. And we understand that this is our common responsibility. Many options are being considered in this regard. We are focusing on the political path, which depends on Russia's willingness to resolve this conflict and really discuss ways to stabilize the situation," the prime minister said.
He noted that Russia should immediately withdraw its military forces from the territory of Ukraine in accordance with international agreements.
Yatseniuk added that the Ukrainian side is ready to cooperate in resolving the conflict with the world's leading players of international processes.
In turn, Schulz expressed great concern over the Russian military provocations in Crimea, which, he said, are currently underway.
