Kazakhstan recognizes results of Crimean referendum

Kazakhstan has recognized the results of the Crimean referendum, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

 

“The people in Kazakhstan have admitted the referendum held in Crimea as an expression of free will of the people of the Autonomous Republic and are sympathetic to the decision of the Russian Federation,” said in a statement of the Ministry.

 

The statement also stressed that Kazakhstan calls for peaceful resolution of the crisis in Ukraine via the negotiations under the auspices of the UN and other international organizations.
