Heads of Kazakhstan and China adopt Joint Declaration

Five bilateral documents have been signed in the framework of Kazakhstan President's state visit to Shanghai (China).


Following the talks, the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of China Xi Jinping have signed a Joint Declaration of Kazakhstan and China covering all areas of strategic partnerships and identifying promising areas for further cooperation of the parties.


"CITIC" corporation and "Samruk-Kazyna "NWF" JSC concluded a memorandum of understanding and cooperation (provides for the development of cooperation in oil and gas, and mining sectors), EXIM Bank of China inked a memorandum of understanding on financing of "Petro Kazakhstan Oil Products" LLP project (modernization and reconstruction of the Shymkent refinery), and Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and the China Development Bank made a general agreement on the allocation of loan facility totaling USD 500 million.


KazMunaiGas NC and CNPC Corporation have inked a framework agreement on the construction of a plant producing oil and gas pipes of large diameter (300-1600 mm) in the Almaty region. The project cost is estimated at USD 150 million.
