China ready to cooperate with SCO member states in fight against terrorism, drug trafficking

China is ready to cooperate with other countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in fight against terrorism, drug trafficking and transnational organized crime; to deepen cooperation in security sector; as well as to make every effort to prevent security threats and challenges, Deputy Minister of Public Security of China Huang Ming said.


He led the Chinese delegation to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) during the 10th anniversary of formation of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS).


Currently, the world faces difficult and profound changes in international and regional security situation; traditional and non-traditional security threats are interlinking. Therefore, question of further cooperation in this field raises.


China is ready to work with other countries, adhering to the position of 'zero tolerance', fight terrorism, separatism and extremism; promote cooperation in fight against transnational organized crime, cybercrime; improve the ability to respond to threats and challenges. China is willing to promote practical cooperation with the competent authorities of the observer states and countries for dialogue within RATS, Huang Ming said.
