Europe has access to Caspian gas

The EU energy strategy in the Caspian was gradually formed and at first did not differ dynamism. Only in the late 1990s, when it was announced that there are significant gas reserves in the Caspian, the EU's policy has become more clear. In the implementation of geopolitical interests, the EU largely borrowed the US strategy, for which pipelines acted as the key element of the policy in the Caspian region.

Kazakhstan increases number of military personnel participating in UN missions abroad

Kazakh legislators recently approved the sending of dozens of military observers from Kazakhstan to join UN missions in the Middle East and Africa to fulfil international obligations in maintaining peace and security, Defence Minister Saken Zhasuzakov announced as he presented a relevant request from the head of state at the joint session of Kazakhstan’s Parliament.
